Help on a Game...

Seeing on how the gaming help section has no posts, i have decided to give it one.
ok, last saturday i got the new return of the king game for gamecube. i was doing pretty good too untill i got to the last level, the crack of doom, which i'm now stuck on. i can't kill golem. the mission tips said to knock him over the edge with fierce or physical attacks but it won't work. anyone beaten this game and know how to help me?

to beat gollum you have to lure him to the edge,then hit him with a physical attack until he loses his balance,then use a fierce attack to make where he is holding on to the ledge,and use your killing move to knock him off.
